Solucky is a fashion and media brand that needed a digital home to showcase years of creative work, attract new collaborators, and grow its presence. I led the design of the site from the ground up — structuring the content, developing an editorial layout system, and collaborating with the developer to bring the brand’s expressive vision to life.

Structuring the Vision
The Solucky team had a bold creative vision but only a loose idea of what they wanted the website to do. I helped translate that vision into a clear structure by identifying key goals — like showcasing past work, attracting collaborators, and promoting events — and organizing the site around them. I defined essential pages, content types, and gallery formats, and worked with the founders to set expectations for image quality, copy length, and how the site would scale over time.
Designing for Expression + Usability.
I designed the site to feel bold and editorial without sacrificing usability. Inspired by fashion magazines and creative portfolios, I used full-bleed media, oversized typography, and asymmetrical grid layouts to capture Solucky’s avant-garde tone. Due to shifting creative direction, I moved straight into high-fidelity design to keep momentum and give the team visuals they could react to. I also prioritized scannability, clear navigation, and responsive behavior to ensure the experience remained intuitive across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Building the Design System
To keep the experience consistent and scalable, I built a component library that covered typography, buttons, layouts, and color styles. This gave the developer clean, reusable assets and made it easy to maintain visual consistency across pages. The system was flexible enough to support the brand’s expressive layout needs while staying grounded in a clear structure.
Shop Page – Iterating for Clarity and Conversion
The shop page went through several iterations as we figured out how to balance editorial visuals with practical shopping behavior. Early versions leaned more heavily on cutout images and expressive layouts. As the concept matured, I reorganized content to better emphasize pricing, product details, and call-to-action buttons — making the experience easier to navigate for casual browsers and collaborators alike. The final design preserved the bold brand tone while supporting a more intuitive scroll.

Media Page – Balancing Personality with Structure
The media page evolved significantly as we refined the brand’s voice. Initial designs emphasized type-driven expression and abstract storytelling. Later versions introduced more structured image galleries and clearer framing device — like device mockups and caption support — to make the work easier to explore. The final design strikes a balance between creative energy and content clarity, helping users engage with Solucky’s past projects without friction.
Implementation & Launch
Once the designs were approved, I partnered with the developer to bring the site to life across breakpoints. I designed everything using a component-based system, provided responsive specs, and stayed closely involved during implementation. I helped resolve layout challenges—like full-bleed media, grid balance, and text wrapping—and offered feedback through QA to ensure the final build matched the vision.
The site launched successfully and now acts as a living archive of Solucky’s work. It was also the first full website I took from concept to launch, working directly with both founders and developers.

Reflection
This project pushed me to lead with both structure and creativity. I guided a non-technical, highly visual team from a loose vision to a fully launched product — balancing bold editorial design with practical functionality. I learned how to navigate ambiguity, communicate across roles, and build systems that support expressive layouts without sacrificing usability. Solucky was my first end-to-end website launch, and it deepened my confidence as both a designer and a collaborator.
